Lots of SEO agencies manage a range of different clients, but for those who like to check up on their own SEO by themselves, there is a lot to learn. One thing we get asked a lot is how often rankings should be checked to see where your website is landing in the search results.
We generally advise that checking on the same day each week can be a good indicator of fluctuations, and at the same time each month is another good tactic. Some people think that checking every day is a good plan, but we find that this does not really show trends that well. As Google adjusts it’s algorthim on a daily basis, it isn’t really a good idea to check rankings every day, as you will often see pages leaping up and down the search results!
